Stefan Filipović

Stefan Filipović is a Montenegrin pop singer, born on 18 January 1987 in Titograd, today's Podgorica. He represented Montenegro at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade with "Zauvijek volim te".

He has been singing since the age of seven and grew up on children's festivals, among them Naša radost in Podgorica, where he sang songs such as "Zujalica" and "Đede Pero što je ovo". He went on to study at the Music Academy in Cetinje.

After a longer break he returned to the festival stage with a run of strong results. At the Music Festival Budva he sang "Ja mogao bih sve", which came fourth and won him the award for best debutant, and at the festival in Zrenjanin "Ne umijem" took third place and a newcomer award. In 2006 "Za nju" placed fourth at Evropesma-Europjesma, and "Šećer i voće" came second in Budva. In 2007 he was second at MontenegroSong with "Ne mogu bez tebe" and won the Budva festival with "Nebo i more".

For Eurovision 2008 the broadcaster RTCG chose the singer first. On 27 January 2008 six artists sang two cover songs each at MontenegroSong, and the public televote picked Filipović as the winner. His song was then chosen from four commissioned entries: "Zauvijek volim te", composed by Grigor Koprov with lyrics by Ognen Nedelkovski, the team behind North Macedonia's 2007 entry. He also recorded it in English as "Never Forget That I Love You", and promoted it as a guest in the semi-final of Serbia's Beovizija 2008 and on the BHT 1 show Konačno petak in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In Belgrade he opened the first semi-final on 20 May 2008, backed by four singers and dancers in black with red gloves. He placed 14th of 19 with 23 points and did not reach the final. His festival songs, from "Ne umijem" to "Zauvijek volim te", are gathered in the playlist on this page.
