About

Muzika-Balkan started in the spring of 2011 with one simple idea: the music of the former Yugoslavia deserved a good home on the web. Today it gathers Ex-Yu muzika i spotovi, the songs and music videos of 0 singers and bands, each in one playlist that plays from start to finish without a click between songs.

What you will find here

Rock, pop and folk from Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Kosovo: from Bijelo Dugme and Riblja Čorba to Ceca, Severina and Dino Merlin. Every artist page has a short biography, the best-known songs, the facts (born or formed, where from, who was in the band) and the playlist.

How to find an artist

Type a name into the search box at the top of every page, or browse by genre, narodna muzika, pop i zabavna muzika and Ex-Yu rock, or by country. Every list can be sorted from A to Z or by the most watched.

Where the videos come from

The videos are not stored here. They play from YouTube, most of them from the artists' own official channels and their record labels, so they stay up to date and the views count for the artists. Once a month the site checks every playlist and replaces any that stop playing.

Free, and paid for by ads

Muzika-Balkan is free and needs no account. The ads on the site pay for the server. The privacy policy explains what that means for you, and the terms of use explain the rest.
