About Dado Polumenta
Damir "Dado" Polumenta is a Montenegrin pop-folk singer. He was born on 29 August 1982 in Bijelo Polje, in the north of Montenegro, into a Bosniak family with music in it: his uncle is the singer Šako Polumenta, and his aunt Azra Polumenta sings as well.
His debut album, Jasmina, came out in 2001 on Best Records but found little success. After a break, Dado broke through across the Balkans with his second album, 100 stepeni, released in 2005 by Grand Production.
He then left Grand and, through his uncle, signed with Gold Music, for which he recorded Volim te (2007); it includes "Fobija", a duet with Azra. On 26 June 2008 he released the ballad "Moja srno", which he performed at the Vogošća festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina that year. The same year he and Šako released the duet "Ljepša od noći" on Šako's album Sanjao sam san, and his fourth album, Zauvijek tvoj, followed on 15 December 2008.
Dado returned to Grand Production for his fifth album, Buntovnik, released on 18 November 2010, and went on with Virus (2011) and Ne dam ja na tebe (2013). Later singles include "Revolucija" and "Gužva je u gradu" (2014), "Ja te volim" (2017) and "Lane" (2021), and in 2023 he released "Alea", the title song of a new album, dedicated to his daughter.
He has recorded many duets. Besides the songs with Šako ("Ljepša od noći", "Ženim se"), he has recorded "Tačno je" (2012) with Slavica Ćukteraš, "Premija" (2014) with Nikolija, "Balkan" (2015) with Rasta, "Dominantna" (2016) with Džala Brat, "Ona koje nema" (2023) with Dženan Lončarević, "Moja je" (2022) with Mahdi, "Halali" (2023) with Emir Đulović and "Lijepo zlo" (2025) with Peđa Jovanović.
He keeps releasing new music on his official YouTube channel, where 2025 brought the video for "1001 noć" and "Drama", a duet with Edis Agić.
