Azra Polumenta

Azra Polumenta, full name Azra Polumenta-Idrizović, is a Montenegrin folk singer from Bijelo Polje. She comes from a musical family: she is the sister of Šako Polumenta, and his nephew Dado Polumenta is also a singer.

She began working in music in 2004. Her first album, simply titled Azra Polumenta, came out in 2006 on Gold Music, and the second, Ne brišu ni krv ni kiše, followed in 2007 on VIP Production. That year she also released "Crni svati" and the duet "Fobija" with Dado, which appeared on his album Volim te.

In 2012 she recorded "Priča o tebi" with her brother Šako, and released "Bijeli labud", the song that made her name best known. According to Espreso, between 2006 and 2010 her home town gave her five "Oskar" awards as its most-listened-to artist.

Both Espreso and Nova describe her as a singer who rarely appeared in public and stayed somewhat in the background, which is why she never reached her brother's level of fame. Her songs are gathered here in one playlist.
