About Nered

Nered is the stage name of Marko Lasić, a Croatian rapper born in Zagreb on 26 April 1979. He went to school in Zagreb and graduated from the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences in 2003. He began writing lyrics in the 1990s, but his first great love was ice hockey: he played for KHL Medveščak and the Croatian national team, winning a number of medals, until a serious leg injury ended his hockey career and he turned fully to music.

With Marin Ivanović "Stoka" he formed the duo Nered & Stoka, which released its first album in 1999. A year earlier he had recorded "Vrijeme istine" with Remi of Elemental and the Basemental Crew. His solo album Od danas do sutra came out on Menart in 2001, with guests such as Dino Dvornik on "Addicted to Dim", Stoka and Marija Husar on "Bolero", and Target and Ivana Husar on the title track. In 2005 he followed it with Baš je lijep ovaj svijet, made with General Woo.

Over the years he has worked with DJ Frx, Target, DJ Wocas, Nina Badrić, Ivana Kindl, the Songkillers and many others, and he was one third of the trio Ljudi u crnom. With Ćiro Blažević and Željko Velo he made an anthem for the 2004 European football championship in Portugal, and with Zaprešić Boys he created "Srce vatreno", one of the best-loved songs of Croatia's football fans.

Lasić also became a concert promoter. In 2007 he founded the company Neki Daniels Media, which brought artists such as 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Lil' Kim, Onyx and The Chemical Brothers to Croatia, and in 2010 he started the Green City Project, described as the region's biggest eco event, and the Moon & Rocks festival in Novalja. He has acted in the TV series Balkan Inc. and Bitange i princeze and voiced a Viking in the Croatian version of How to Train Your Dragon 3, and in recent years he has released new singles such as "Rep se vraća doma" and "Slavim". This playlist is his 2001 album Od danas do sutra.
