About Nina Badrić

Nina Badrić is a Croatian pop singer, born on 4 July 1972 in Zagreb. From the age of nine she sang in the children's choir Zvjezdice, touring and recording with it for seven years, and then sang backing vocals for Parni valjak, Prljavo kazalište and others. Dino Dvornik heard her sing in a boutique and took her to the record labels.

In 1993 she sang "Ostavljam te" at Dora, the Croatian Eurovision selection, and her debut album Godine nestvarne came out on Croatia Records in 1995. Her first big success was the duet "Ja sam vlak" with Emilija Kokić. Personality (1997), with the number one hit "Ja za ljubav neću moliti", brought her two Porin awards in 1998, and her cover of the Pointer Sisters' "I'm So Excited" also charted in Italy. After the English-language dance album Me! (1998) and Unique (1999) came Nina (2000), whose "Ako kažeš da me ne voliš" reached number one on the Croatian airplay chart.

"Čarobno jutro" took second place at Dora in 2003 and won the Porin for song of the year, and Ljubav was named album of the year. In 2004 she recorded "Ti si mene" with Dino Merlin, and on 14 February 2005 she played Zagreb's Dom sportova in a concert supported by UNICEF, released as Ljubav za ljubav – Live. The album 07 (2007) was produced by Steve Sidwell, and in 2009 she sang "Ne mogu ti reći što je tuga" with Hari Mata Hari.

In 2012 Nina Badrić represented Croatia at Eurovision in Baku with "Nebo", which she wrote herself; she placed 12th in the second semi-final and did not reach the final. The NeBo tour that followed took her to the Belgrade Arena, Zagreb's Dražen Petrović hall and Sarajevo's Zetra. "Dani i godine" was the most played song of 2016 on the HR Top 40, and on 8 August 2016 she celebrated twenty years on stage at the Pula Arena.

Later duets include "Lozinka za raj" with Željko Vasić (2015) and "Nemoj" with Petar Grašo (2023). She released Peristil sentimenti in 2022 and, in February 2026, the album Moji ljudi, named like the tour she began in 2024.
