Most of his career has been spent behind other artists. Together with Aleksandar Kobac he wrote a long list of pop and folk hits, and by 2009 he had written more than 800 songs and sung backing vocals on more than a thousand recordings. As an arranger and producer he worked with Dara Bubamara, Flamingosi, Louis, Đogani, Goga Sekulić, Nataša Bekvalac and many others, and he sang on records by Gru, Jelena Tomašević, Aleksandra Radović and Wikluh Sky. He considers his work on Gru's 1995 album his big breakthrough. He co-wrote "Ludi letnji ples", with which Flamingosi and Louis won Beovizija in 2006, and co-produced Stefan Filipović's Eurovision 2008 song "Zauvijek volim te".
His first appearance as a lead singer came at Beovizija 2009 with "Cipela", written by Kon, Kobac and accordionist Milan Nikolić. It won the Serbian selection, and Kon and Nikolić represented Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow, finishing tenth in the second semi-final, and did not reach the final. Their performances of "Cipela" are gathered here.
