About Aleksandra Radović

Aleksandra Radović is a Serbian pop singer and songwriter, born on 10 September 1974 in Bogatić near Šabac. She went to the music high school "Mihajlo Vukdragović" in Šabac and then graduated in music pedagogy from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. From 1997 she worked as a studio musician, recording jingles and opening credits for the young TV Pink, and became one of the most sought-after backing vocalists of the time, singing behind Lepa Brena, Ceca and Jelena Karleuša.

Her breakthrough came at the Sunčane skale festival in Herceg Novi in July 2003, where "Kao so u moru" finished second and became one of her best-known songs. Her self-titled debut album followed on City Records two months later, with "Još danas", "Ako nikada" and "Kažeš svejedno"; she wrote six of its songs herself. In 2005 "Karta za jug" again took second place, this time at the festival in Budva.

The second album, Dommino, came out in July 2006 with "Nisi moj", "Zagrli me" and the ballad "Čuvam te". On 11 November 2007 she held her first solo concert in Sava Centar, with Jelena Tomašević and Sergej Ćetković as guests. Žar ptica (2009), with a stronger R&B sound, brought "Bivši dragi" and was one of the best-selling albums in Serbia that year. On its tour she became the first female artist to play two concerts in a row at Sava Centar, and the album won the Index 2010 award for best regional album.

In 2011 she released the club single "U inat prošlosti" with the Belgrade DJs The BeatShakers, and "Čuvaj moje srce" was a summer hit in 2012. That year she joined Vlado Georgiev and Saša Milošević Mare as a judge on Prvi glas Srbije, where all three grand finalists, Mirna Radulović, Nevena Božović and Sara Jovanović, were in her team. Her fourth album, Carstvo, followed in December 2016, the year she also sat on the jury of Pinkove Zvezde with Šaban Šaulić, Zorica Brunclik and Dara Bubamara.

"Ljubavi moja" won Female Pop Song of the Year at the Music Awards Ceremony in January 2019, and her fifth album, Predvorje života, came out on Valentine's Day 2020 on PGP-RTS and Croatia Records. Aleksandra Radović runs her own children's singing school, where Milica Pavlović was one of her pupils, and in 2011 she sang at a benefit concert in Zagreb's Lisinski hall with Nina Badrić and Karolina Gočeva. The playlist opens with songs from her Sava Centar concert of November 2024.
