About Zorica Brunclik
Zorica Brunclik is a Serbian folk singer and lyricist, born in Belgrade on 29 June 1955 to a Serbian mother and a father of Czech and Greek descent. Known for her trademark pink hair, she is counted among the most successful Serbian folk singers, with around 15 million records sold. Her parents separated when she was two, and she grew up with her mother and three younger brothers between Belgrade, Smederevo and Požarevac. She later graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Niš.
In 1969, through a school friendship with his daughter, she met the folk singer Bora Spužić Kvaka, who encouraged her to sing and introduced her to a band playing in Belgrade. After years of singing in kafanas, she released her first single, "Ne daj da nas rastave", on PGP-RTB in 1974 with the help of the songwriter Novica Urošević, and her debut album followed two years later. She has released 27 albums in all.
The 1980s brought her greatest commercial success, with diamond records and hits such as "A tebe nema" (1982), "Venac ljubavi", "Preboleću", "Kad bi me majka ponovo rodila" and "Muke moje". In the 1990s she kept the hits coming with "Avlije, avlije" (1991), "Evo već je Božić", "Ubile me oči zelene", "Kada bi me pitali", "Tamo gde si ti", "Što se mala uobrazi" (1995), "Dunjo mirisna" (1997) and "Otkopčano jeleče" (1998), and in 2002 "Ne dam ovo malo duše". She also sang a duet with Šaban Šaulić, "Kako ti je, kako živiš". Since 1985 she has been married to the accordionist and composer Miroljub Aranđelović Kemiš, who leads her orchestra.
On 11 November 2014 she marked forty years on stage with a concert at the Belgrade Arena, Sve je ljubav, with more than thirty guests including Lepa Brena, Ceca, Dragana Mirković, Vesna Zmijanac, Saša Matić, Aca Lukas, Sinan Sakić, Ana Bekuta and Aco Pejović. In 2022 she celebrated nearly fifty years of work at the Tašmajdan Centre.
She acted in the films Kakav deda takav unuk (1983) and Špijun na štiklama (1988), and was a judge on Zvezde Granda and Pinkove zvezde. In May 2021 she received the award of National Music Artist of Serbia. Her official videos are gathered here in one playlist.
