About Dragana Mirković
Dragana Mirković is a Serbian pop-folk singer and entrepreneur, born on 18 January 1968 in Kasidol, a village near Požarevac, the younger of two daughters. Her grandfather Dragutin played the accordion, and by the age of five she was singing a Bosnian folk song; soon she was the soloist at school and village celebrations. When she was fourteen, people from the label Diskos came to her parents, and in 1984 her debut album "Imam dečka nemirnog" came out. The next year "Umiljato oko moje" sold 250,000 copies.
From 1986 to 1990 she recorded with the band Južni Vetar: "Spasi me samoće" (1986), which sold more than 400,000 copies, "Ruže cvetaju samo u pesmama" (1987), "Najlepši par" (1988), "Simpatija" (1989), whose title song became a huge success, and "Pomisli želju" (1990).
Dragana went solo in 1991 with "Dobra devojka", which gave her "Umreću zbog tebe" and "Kazi mi sunce moje". "Dolaze nam bolji dani" (1992), "Do poslednjeg daha" (1993), "Nije tebi do mene" (1994), "Plači, zemljo" (1995), "Nema promene" (1996) and "Kojom gorom" (1997) followed. In 1994 she starred in the film "Slatko od snova", and she played residencies at Sava Centar in 1995 and Hala Pionir in 1998.
After the album "Sama" she took a four-year break and came back in 2004 with "Trag u vremenu", followed by "Luče moje" (2006), "Eksplozija" (2008), "20" (2012) and "Od milion jedan" (2017). In 2005 she and her husband Toni Bijelić founded the music channel DM SAT. In 2013 she released "Kad nas vide zagrljene", a duet with Hanka Paldum, and in 2014 she recorded "Please Don't Go Away" with José Feliciano and marked 30 years on stage with a concert for 20,000 people at the Belgrade Arena, today's Štark Arena.
Wikipedia puts her total sales at about 10 million records. She married Toni Bijelić in 1999 and they have two children, Marko and Manuela; in March 2024 she announced their divorce. In 2023 she toured the United States, and in 2024 she was on the road again with the Do poslednjeg daha tour.
