About Nevena Božović

Nevena Božović is a Serbian pop singer and songwriter, born on 15 June 1994 in Kosovska Mitrovica, Kosovo, where she grew up and went to school. She was the first artist to sing as a main performer at both the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and the Eurovision Song Contest, and she studied music at the University of Arts in Belgrade.

As a child she won awards at youth festivals such as Cvrkuti sa Ibra, and in 2007 she won the Serbian selection for Junior Eurovision with "Piši mi", a ballad she wrote herself. In Rotterdam on 8 December 2007 she finished third with 120 points, Serbia's best result in that contest. In 2009 she won the New Stars evening of the Sunčane skale festival in Herceg Novi with the song "Ti".

She became known to a wide audience on the talent show Prvi glas Srbije, where she finished second behind Mirna Radulović. Together with Mirna and Sara Jovanović she then formed the trio Moje 3, which won Beosong 2013 with "Ljubav je svuda". At Eurovision in Malmö the trio finished eleventh in the first semi-final, six points short of the final.

Her solo career began in July 2013 with "Pogledaj me", written by Aleksandra Kovač, followed by "Znam da noćas gubim te", whose video opened her official YouTube channel in 2014. Then came "Bal", with the actor Miloš Biković in the video, "Trebam tebe" and "Čujem da dolaziš u grad" (2015) and "Sijesta" (2016), and she sang at the Proleće u Beogradu festival three times. In 2017 she finished third at the Slavianski Bazaar festival in Vitebsk and released "Jasno mi je", also recorded in English as "Dangerous Drug", which later won an award for the best electropop song.

In 2019 Nevena Božović won Beovizija with "Kruna", a song she wrote herself, after winning her semi-final four points ahead of Dženan Lončarević. In Tel Aviv she reached the final and finished 18th with 89 points. The same year the listeners of Naxi radio voted her female singer of the year, and on New Year's Eve she sang a 90-minute opening set for Zdravko Čolić in Budva.

"Nestajem s vetrom", another song of her own, followed in 2020 and won Naxi radio's award for the best music collaboration, which she credited to her work with the musician Dušan Alagić. Later releases include "Ljubi" and "Ne čuješ me" (2021). Since her wedding in Budva in April 2019 she has also used the surname Ivanović.
