About Goga Sekulić

Goga Sekulić, born Gordana Sekulić on 27 February 1977 in Pljevlja, Montenegro, is a Serbian pop-folk and turbo-folk singer. She went to school in Pljevlja and made her career in Belgrade, and today she divides her time between Zürich and Belgrade.

She made her recording debut in 2000 with the album Ljubavnica on City Records, and its title song made her name. I lepša i bolja followed in 2001, Opasno po život in 2002 and Po zakonu in 2003. One of these early albums on City Records included "Budi tu", a duet with Šako Polumenta.

Her biggest success came with Grand Production. The album Gaćice (2006), with its title song, "Seksi biznismen", "Može, može" and "Tvoje oči", a duet with Osman Hadžić, sold about 80,000 copies, and Zlatna koka (2008) about 150,000. Ja sam probala sve (2011) brought "Muška lutka", and with Jasmin Jusić she recorded "Vuče lopove". At the Pink Music Festival 2014 she reached the final with "Rekord sam oborila", which became one of the three most-viewed festival songs on YouTube, and that year she released the album Ponovo rođena, again on City Records. She returned to the festival in 2015 with "Da na tebe ne liči".

Since 2016 she has mostly released singles, among them "Loto devojka" with MS Despot, "Red i zakon" with Cobi and "Krize" with Mile Kitić, and in 2019 she recorded a new version of "Seksi biznismen". Her ninth studio album, Psihologija, came out in 2024. Most of her music videos were directed by Dejan Milićević.

She has also been a familiar face on television, taking part in the first celebrity season of Veliki brat in 2007, where she finished sixth. "Seksi biznismen" travelled far beyond the Balkans: in 2022 the British singer Ashnikko named it as an inspiration for her album Weedkiller.
