About Klapa Sebenico

Klapa Sebenico is a klapa, a Dalmatian vocal group in the a cappella tradition, from Šibenik in Croatia, where the group is based; that is why it is on Muzika-Balkan. Viberate describes it as a Šibenik group that keeps this distinctive way of singing alive, with songs of love, grief and longing, and many of its recordings are credited to Branimir Bubica i klapa Sebenico.

Its best-known moment came with Arsen Dedić, who was born in Šibenik. Late in his life Dedić returned to working with klapas, and a new recording of his "Dida moj" with Klapa Sebenico went to number one on the Jadranska top lista in April 2013.

The group has sung at the Festival of Dalmatian Klapas in Omiš year after year, with songs such as "Dva Bracanina" and "Čuvaj je majko moja" (2018), "Libar od života" and "Balada o magarcu" (2019), "Pismo moja" and "Zadrčale su ruke" (2020) and "Nema Bojeg" (2021). It has also appeared at the Split festival and on Croatian television.

Its album Dalmacijo, ti si zadnja luka came out in 2018, mixing new songs with klapa classics; another, Dobra večer uzorita, gathers songs of Šibenik such as "Šibenska balada" and "Šibenska noć". Later singles include "Ne dan moju tisnu kalu" (2021) and "Dalmacijo sestro" (2023), the latter with Alen Nižetić. The klapa has sung with Marko Škugor, with Tony Cetinski on "Ti (samo ti)" and with Petar Dragojević on "Kad mi dođeš ti", and its channel shows it singing at many weddings. The playlist holds the album Dalmacijo, ti si zadnja luka.
