About Marko Škugor

Marko Škugor is a Croatian singer of Dalmatian pop, born on 25 October 1989 in Šibenik. While studying economics in Zagreb he began singing klapa songs with friends in the Sava student hall, where the other students called them "klapa Sava". He later sang with the klapas Kampanel and Maslina.

In 2013 he became the first tenor and soloist of Klapa s mora, which represented Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest with "Mižerja". The same year he began his solo career, inspired by the Dalmatian pop sound with an operatic touch. His first big success came at the 2014 Split festival, where "Devet slova jedne riči", sung with Alen Nižetić and Duje Coce, won the Grand Prix. Songs such as "Dalmatinska vilo" and "Zlato moje" followed.

In 2016 he toured with Zvuci Mediterana, more than 40 concerts, and won the audience award at Večeri dalmatinske šansone with "Samo ti si". He then recorded the duet "Samo s tobom sam upoznao ljubav" with Oliver Dragojević, and he has toured Croatia as one of the Četiri tenora with Vladimir Garić, Đani Stipaničev and Marko Pecotić.

His duet with Danijela Martinović, "Ono nešto", has passed seven million views on YouTube, and "Čuvam misto", "Ako grijeh je" and "Kontra neba ne smiš ić" have millions too. The album Čuvam misto, with eleven songs, was the first to include several of his own; in 2022 he sang them at the Trsat castle in Rijeka, where Novi list noted that he is often called the king of first dances. He has sold out the Vatroslav Lisinski hall in Zagreb five times, and he sang "Ti budi ti" with klapa Madre Badessa for the 2022 film Kumovi.

In 2025 Marko Škugor made his Dora debut with "Šta da Boga molim ja", a very personal song dedicated to someone dear to him, and that year he announced his fourth album, Ono nešto, with words and music all his own. The playlist gathers his official videos, among them "Ružo bila" with Luka Basi.
