About Prti Bee Gee
Prti Bee Gee are a hip-hop and funk group from Belgrade, founded in 2000 by Moskri, the oldest of them and seen as their leader and the mind behind the group, Eufrat (Nikola Jarnević) and Mikri Maus (Nikola Jelić). The odd name comes from Montenegrin slang: "prti, be-ge" was a friendly way of telling a Belgrader (BG) to get lost.
With the support of Beogradski sindikat they reached the public through Radio SKC, which first played their song "Pajp" in 2001. Soon after they recorded their debut album, Grejtest hits (2002), for One Records. The record made them popular with the older hip-hop generation and the underground rap scene across the region, thanks to lyrics full of black humour and blunt pictures of addiction that earned their style the nickname "heroin rap", a phrase they used themselves in "Air Max". The same explicitness also drew criticism.
Their best-known concerts include SKC in December 2003, opening for Bad Copy, and Exit in 2005, where they shared a stage with many Belgrade rappers. That August the group lost Moskri, who died on 25 August 2005. Eufrat and Mikri Maus carried on and dedicated their next album, Moskri 77-05 (2006), to him.
Tačno u pre podne!!! followed in 2007, Bez šećera in October 2011, Petarda in May 2016 and Pet+1 in 2021. They also took part in the project 43zla with Timbe, Ajs Nigrutin and Bvana, and since June 2021 they have written and hosted the hip-hop show Emsiklopedija on Radio Beograd 202.
