About Deni Boneštaj

Deni Boneštaj is a Montenegrin pop-folk singer, born on 22 June 1988 in Podgorica. He is best known for the song "Crno meče".

Music runs in his family, and he has been singing since he was seven, when he joined the children's choir Zvezdice. He finished both the primary and the secondary music school "Vasa Pavić". He told Kurir that he started working at about fifteen and a half, playing with his father in a kafana that had two tables, and that he moved to Belgrade at seventeen after one song made his name.

His first song was his own hit "Idi" in 2007. The same year he recorded "Do pakla vozni red" and "Crno meče", which became his signature song. In 2009 he sang the duet "Pogledaj me" with Sandra Afrika, and it was followed by "Voli me il' ne voli", "Idemo odavde", "Maske", "Strijelac", "Volim te na kvadrat" and "Kafano".

He presented "Evropa" on TV Grand on 14 May 2015, released "Kad suze progovore" and "Nađu me" in 2017, and put "9 dana" out on YouTube on 8 June 2018. Over the years he has appeared at many music festivals and award evenings, among them Montefolk hit godine (2008), Najpopularniji pjevač and Oskar popularnosti (2010) and Folk hit (2010, 2012 and 2013).

Later songs include "Glavom kroz zid" (2021) with Gastozz and "Modrica" (2022), and on his own channel he has since released "Najdraža" (2024) and "Dolazim s' tišinom" (2025).
