About Vrisk
Ansambel Vrisk is a Slovenian narodnozabavna ensemble, playing the country's popular folk music with accordion and vocals, from the Dolenjska region, which is why it is on Muzika-Balkan under Slovenia. In 2010 it celebrated fifteen years on stage with a jubilee concert at the Kulturni dom in Trebnje.
At that time the ensemble was the singer Beti Stopar, the singer Jože Šarc, Rok Fojkar on guitar and vocals, Jernej Tišler on bass and vocals, and the band leader Jože Avbar on accordion and keyboards. Over those years it collected a long list of festival prizes: the golden Orfej at the Ptuj festival in 2001, victory at Slovenska polka in valček in 2002 together with the expert jury's award for the best tune, "Preveč je belih rož", the Srebrni slavček award in 2002, the prizes for the best vocals and the best ensemble at the New Year festival in Dolenjske Toplice in 2005, and the award for the best performer at Slovenska polka in valček in 2006 with "Moja lepa Belokranjka". It reached the finals of Radio Slovenija's Najlepša viža five times.
Vrisk has played on Television Slovenia and at dances and concerts across the country, and has taken its music to Austria, Switzerland, Germany, France, the United States and Canada. Its songs were released on two cassettes and four CDs; the best known include "Moja lepa Belokranjka", "Preveč je belih rož", "Ne pozabi me", "Moja penzija" and "V soju rdečih luči", and people in Bela krajina call "Srce odpira svet" their own anthem. For the anniversary it released the CD Jubilejni Vrisk, with "Mandolina, povej!", "Daleč so nebesa" and "Recesija"; "Mandolina, povej!" was Radio Slovenija's song of the month in January 2010.
The playlist is the ensemble's own channel, with "Ta mala s praga", "Čas beži" and "Zlate domače viže".
