About Vojko V
Vojko V, also known as Vojko Vrućina, is a Croatian rapper, songwriter and producer. He was born Andrija Vujević on 19 January 1985 in Knin, and he is on Muzika-Balkan as a Croatian artist born and based in Croatia. Croatian Wikipedia gives Split as his home today, and Split is where he studied and made his name.
He is the son of the journalist Eda Vujević and the electrical engineering professor Slavko Vujević. In Split he studied computing and worked as a programmer for two years, and when he was made redundant he turned to music. His stage name comes from two comic-book heroes, Dylan Dog and Martin Mystery, and he shortened it to Vojko V for his solo work.
He first became known with the Split hip-hop groups Dječaci and Kiša metaka, and in 2010 he made the EP Kuje i laseri with AC3PO. His first solo album, Vojko, came out on Croatia Records on 27 April 2018 and reached number seven on the Croatian sales chart. It held "Zovi čovika", "Kako to" and "Ne može", and in 2019 it brought him six Porin nominations, among them album of the year and, for "Ne može", song of the year.
"Moja lipa" followed in 2019, then "Obama" with z++, "Mamići" with Grše and "Evo me opet". His second album, Dvojko, came out on Menart on 1 March 2023 and went to number one. On 11 November 2023 he played his first solo concert at the Dom sportova in Zagreb, and the live videos of that night are in the playlist.
With Peki he recorded "Ganga i rera", which reached number four on Billboard Croatia in 2024, and "Šibenik" in 2025; "Vlaga" followed in 2026. His songs mostly poke fun at human weaknesses such as jealousy, get-rich-quick schemes, malice and fake authority. In 2020 he also published two picture books for children based on his songs, Ne može and Kako to, and voiced a role in the Croatian dub of a SpongeBob film.
