About Viktorija Loba

Viktorija Loba is a Macedonian pop singer. She was born on 17 October 1988 in Taganrog, Russia, and moved with her family to Skopje when she was eight. She has been on Macedonian stages and television since childhood, and later added acting and dance music to her singing.

Her first big stage came in 2003, when she represented Macedonia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen in a duet with Marija Arsovska. Their song "Ti ne me poznavaš" finished 12th. In 2004 she won first prize and a golden diploma for pop singing in the senior group of the international festival Roza vetrov in Moscow. In 2007 she played the title role in a stage version of Nabokov's "Lolita" at the Drama Theatre in Skopje.

From 2008 to 2010 she was the front woman and lead singer of Tumbao Salsa Band, a Macedonian group playing Brazilian, Portuguese and Cuban music, and appeared with them on the music show "Cotton Club" on Alfa television. In 2010 she finished the state music school Ilija Nikolovski Luj in Skopje, majoring in solo singing, and the Zlatna Bubamara na popularnosta awards named her discovery of the year.

At Ohrid Fest 2011 her song "Devet raboti" won second prize in the pop night and third in the international night. With Robert Bilbilov she took part in the 2012 OGAE video contest with "Ti si vinovna", placing 11th, and her song "Počuvstvuvaj go ritamot" opened Makfest 2012 as the festival's official anthem.

In 2013, according to Wikipedia, her dance track "Summer Love" reached first place on a Spinnin' Records chart for young European talent and stayed there for a long time. At Makfest 2014 she won the award for best performance with "Samo moj". She also tried for Eurovision 2015 at Skopje Fest 2014 with "Edna edinstvena", which came seventh although it was a fan favourite; the ticket went to Daniel Kajmakoski. She has also appeared in television advertising and in a government campaign against drug abuse.
