Lozano

Lozano, born Vlatko Lozanoski on 27 June 1985 in Kičevo, is a Macedonian pop singer. He rose quickly at the end of the 2000s, collecting festival prizes at home and abroad, and in 2013 he represented Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö together with Esma Redžepova.

His first public appearances came on the talent show Mak Dzvezdi, which ran from September 2007 to May 2008 and where he sang songs by Toše Proeski, although he did not reach the final. A month later he won the Grand Prix at the first Macedonian radio festival, Dzvezdena nokj (Starry Night) in Ohrid, with "Vrati me", which became his first official single. "Običen bez tebe" followed as his second.

In October 2008 he took his third single, "Vremeto da zastane", to Makfest in Štip, which Wikipedia calls the most prestigious music festival in the country. The jury gave him the prize for best debut, and two days later the audience gave him the festival's Grand Prix. After the single "Sonce ne me gree" he entered Skopje Fest 2009, the national selection for Eurovision, with "Blisku do mene" and finished fourth. That summer he sang at Pjesma Mediterana in Budva, took second prize at the Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, Belarus, and at the Golden Wings festival in Moldova won second prize with "I'm Your Angel", a duet with Magdalena Cvetkoska, as well as the award for best male voice.

His debut album, Lozano, came out in early 2010. At Skopje Fest 2010 he again finished fourth, this time with "Letam kon tebe", and later that year he placed fourth at the Sea Songs festival in Sevastopol.

On 29 December 2012 Macedonian Radio-Television announced that he and Esma would go to Eurovision 2013. Their first song, "Imperija", was withdrawn after a negative public reaction and replaced by "Pred da se razdeni", written by Darko Dimitrov, Lazar Cvetkoski, Simeon Atanasov and Magdalena Cvetkoska. In the second semi-final it placed 16th of 17 with 28 points.

Lozano followed his debut with the albums Preku sedum morinja (2012) and Deset (2018). In 2022 he sang his song "Kilometri" with Karolina Gočeva in her New Year's Eve performance on Macedonian Radio-Television.
