About Vanja Radovanović

Vanja Radovanović is a Montenegrin singer and songwriter, born on 28 October 1982 in Belgrade. He is the nephew of the singer Miladin Šobić, and in 2018 he represented Montenegro at the Eurovision Song Contest with his own song "Inje".

His first public appearance came in 2004 at the Music Festival Budva, where "Dripac", with his own music and lyrics, won him the award for best debutant. He returned to Budva in 2005 with "Krila olovna", which became a big hit in Montenegro and Serbia. The same year he sang "Izvini ne menja ljude" at the Radio Festival of Serbia and made his first video for it, and in 2006 he took part in Beovizija with "Kad me jednom za te ne bude".

At the end of 2007 he released the single "Pričaj dodirom", whose video was made together with the institute for hearing-impaired people in Kotor. He also put together a band, which had its baptism of fire on 31 December 2007, opening for Bijelo Dugme at the New Year's concert in Bar. In May 2008 the Music Association of Montenegro released his debut album Pričaj dodirom, which became one of the best-selling records in the country.

Concerts in squares and clubs across Montenegro followed, and the video for "Takav sam i sad" was filmed on that tour. In 2009 came "Ne pitaj za mene", and at the end of 2010 a promo release, Bez koncepta, with "Milo moje", "Novi Sad" and "Rakija". Meanwhile he wrote songs for many other artists in the region.

In spring 2012 he started recording a new album in Zagreb with producer Denis Mujadžić Deniken for the label Goraton, with a modern guitar sound. The single "Padobran" came out in June 2012, and the title song "Svi životi moji" in December 2013, the month he played a big concert in front of the old town walls of Budva.

In February 2018 he won Montevizija in Podgorica with "Inje", taking 37 percent of the vote in the superfinal of a show that also featured Knez and Slavko Kalezić as guests. The video was filmed in Kotor, Stari Bar, Valdanos and Cetinje. In Lisbon, in the second semi-final on 10 May 2018, Vanja Radovanović placed 16th with 40 points and did not reach the final.
