About Tijana Bogićević
Tijana Bogićević is a Serbian pop and soul singer, born on 1 November 1981 in Novi Sad. She sang for Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv with "In Too Deep", and she has lived and worked in Boston in the United States for years while releasing her music in Serbia.
She was drawn to music from early childhood and sang at school events. In secondary school she was a member of the hip hop and dance group Chess, with which she recorded a few demo songs. She counts 2001 as the start of her professional career: that year she met Vlado Georgiev and began performing with his band as a backing vocalist. At the same time she founded the alternative band Shanene, which soon became one of the leading names on the club scene, and from then on she sang backing vocals on many studio albums by well-known musicians.
Her first appearance as a solo artist came at Beovizija 2009, the Serbian Eurovision selection, with the europop song "Pazi šta radiš"; she finished 17th of 20 in the semi-final and did not reach the final. In 2010 she sang "Tražim" at the Radio Festival, and in 2011 she finally stood on the Eurovision stage as a backing vocalist for Nina.
Wider recognition in Serbia came in 2013 with the single "Čudo", and in 2014 she released the duet "Još jednom" with Aleksa Jelić. On 27 February 2017 the music editors of RTS chose her to represent Serbia in Kyiv with "In Too Deep". She sang in the second semi-final but did not qualify for the final.
Her debut album, Čudo, followed in 2018, and her second, Blizu, on 14 June 2022. On her YouTube channel she also presented a live session of Blizu, which included the song "Hram" with guest Damir Kedžo. Her song "Krila od dima" won the Beogradsko proleće festival in 2023, taking the first audience prize and the Composers' Association of Serbia award for the most complex composition, and a year later she wrote "Tužibaba" for the children's edition of the festival.
In 2024 she gave a concert at MTS dvorana in Belgrade, and live recordings from it, such as "Stradam", "Dodirni me" and "Krila od dima", are part of the playlist here. Her newer releases include "Stihija", "Tijo noći" and, in 2026, the duet "Lek za bol" with Marčelo.
