About Maja Tatić

Maja Tatić is a pop singer, born on 30 October 1970 in Belgrade, who is best known for representing Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 with the ballad "Na jastuku za dvoje".

She took part in children's contests from the age of seven and began singing professionally at seventeen, with bands such as Monaco, Sonus and Skitnice. In 1992 she went to the Canary Islands, where for eight years she sang in local clubs, performing songs by ABBA, Tina Turner and Shania Twain.

Back in the region, she entered BH Eurosong 2002, the Bosnian national final held on 23 February 2002 at the FTV studios in Sarajevo. Sixteen songs took part, and after two rounds of jury voting "Na jastuku za dvoje", composed by Dragan Mijatović with lyrics by Ružica Čavić, was chosen as the winner. At the contest in Tallinn on 25 May 2002 she sang fifteenth in the running order and finished thirteenth of the 24 countries with 33 points.

The same year she sang "Za malo nježnosti" at the Sunčane skale festival in Herceg Novi and "Još te volim" at an evening of pop music in Banja Luka. Her debut album, Lagali su me, followed in 2004 on City Records. Later festival songs include "Istina" at Pjesma Mediterana in Budva and "Nauči ti da voliš" in Banja Luka in 2005, "Čuvaj leđa" at a radio festival in Serbia in 2007 and "Sreća i nada" at the Croatian Radio Festival in 2009.

In 2008 she released her second studio album, Moja te je duša poznala. Its title song, "Lagali su me", "Čuvaj leđa" and her Eurovision ballad are among the recordings gathered in her playlist here.
