About Klapa Iskon

Klapa Iskon is a Dalmatian klapa founded in Split in 2000. It is on Muzika-Balkan as a Split group, and today it sings with five voices: first tenor Vedran Harašić, second tenor Ivan Žanić, baritone Alen Babić, bass-baritone Zvonimir Kovačić and bass Ante Blažević. The singers come from classical music, jazz, pop and rock.

The klapa sings traditional Dalmatian songs alongside newer music, with the stated aim of keeping klapa singing safe from commercial distortion. It has given more than a thousand concerts in Croatia and the neighbouring countries and has sung across Europe, several times in France, and in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Israel, with tours of its own in Israel and France and concerts in Los Angeles, Vienna, Berlin and Stockholm. Klapa Iskon has worked with well-known names of the Croatian scene such as Gibonni, Luky, Neno Belan, TBF and Tedi Spalato, touring the region with them.

In 2010 the group took part in Dora, the Croatian selection for Eurovision, with "Vrime za kraj", written by Matko Šimac. The public vote put them third in the semi-final, and in the final they finished sixth with 22 points; the winner was Feminnem with "Lako je sve".

The playlist is the klapa's own channel, with "Vrime za kraj", "Kad te ugledan", "Ne budi me, mati" and "Ovo mora jednom stat", "Da mi je vratit vrime" from the Šibenik chanson festival in 2011, and a live "Dalmatino, povišću pritrujena" from Split in 2008.
