About Kendi
Kendi, born Milan Sisojević on 1 October 1989 in Aleksinac, is a Serbian rapper who lives in Belgrade. He moved to New Belgrade at the age of five. He started out under the name Cantwait, which he used from 2006 to 2014, and he also records satirical songs as Pablo Kenedi. Away from music he trained as an interior designer and taught 3D modelling.
He released his first song in 2006. As Cantwait he put out a string of mixtapes and albums: Produkt Vol. 1 (2008), Preko noći (2009), the two volumes of Seks i nasilje (2009 and 2010), Produkt Vol. 2 (2012) and the EP Lak na obaraču (2013). The video for his song "Jam" brought together many Serbian rappers, among them Ajs Nigrutin. In 2012 he joined the Belgrade label Bassivity.
Under the name Kendi he released the album Van dometa in 2014, fifteen tracks with guests such as Wikluh Sky on "Ne diraj to", Marčelo on "Placebo" and Who See on "Mrka kapa". In 2016 he moved to Aristokrat Music, the label founded by Papi Jaaz, and opened for Wiz Khalifa at the EXIT festival.
The single "Arapske pare" (2017) brought him a wider audience, and that year he also released Papirni avioni with the producer Koolade. In 2018 he was a judge of the regional Red Bull RapLike competition together with Vojko V. As Pablo Kenedi he has released Krzno i suze (2018), Trap je mrtav (2019) and Krivolov (2024), and as Kendi the album Dodirne tačke (2023). The playlist here is the whole album Van dometa.
