Ghetto Geasy

Ghetto Geasy, also known simply as Geasy or Geti, is a Kosovo-Albanian rapper, singer and songwriter. He was born Getoar Selimi on 3 July 1982 in Pristina and grew up there, and he has been making music since 1994. His records mix hip-hop with pop and club sounds, and he is one of the best-known voices of Albanian rap.

His story starts with Tingulli 3nt, the hip-hop group he formed in Pristina in 1996. The first line-up, with Jeton Topushi and Besa Gashi, did not last long; Agon Amiga joined later and Getoar kept the name. The group broke through in the early 2000s and by the end of the decade was counted among the most influential acts of the Albanian hip-hop scene. Over six albums, among them I 3nt, Babes, Pika për vesh and Ma i madhi n'ven, they recorded with singers such as Nora Istrefi on "Muzika jonë" and Ermal Fejzullahu on "I kom".

In 2010 he set up the label Babastars, which went on to release his own records and those of friends such as Majk. Two years later he began releasing solo songs alongside the group, starting in November 2012 with "N'Prishtinë", a song dedicated to his home city. "E nxonme" followed in 2013, and he also appeared on NRG Band's "Ta du majmunin" in 2015.

His solo singles became regular hits on The Top List, the Albanian chart of Top Channel. "Ajo" with Majk reached number 3 in 2016, "Dashni me raki" with Flori Mumajesi number 2 in 2018, and "Mori", where he joined Flori Mumajesi and Bruno, went to number 1. Later came "Vamos" with Onat, "Zhytem (Je t'aime)" and "Mëkati jem" with Majk, and "Moti" with Onat and Shaolin Gang.

Ghetto Geasy has kept up a long partnership with Majk, from "Paris Milano" and "Malena" to "Para Para" with Ermal Fejzullahu. In 2024 "DING DING" with Luiz Ejlli topped The Top List, and in 2025 "O sa mirë" with Lumi B and EGLI did the same. That year he also released the album 5 Kurora, with songs such as "Baba" and "Al Harami".

He married the Albanian television presenter Marina Vjollca in 2017, and the couple have made their home in Tirana. He has remained a member of Tingulli 3nt throughout his solo career.
