About Ana Stanić

Ana Stanić is a Serbian pop singer, songwriter and composer, born in Niš on 8 December 1975. As a child she went to a specialist music school, graduated in violin and sang in the Krsmanović Choir, and she wrote her first song at the age of twelve.

In 1994 she became the singer of the Eurodance and pop duo Moby Dick. With them she recorded three albums, Kreni and Moby Dick in 1995 and Nostalgija in 1997, which together sold more than 300,000 copies in FR Yugoslavia. She also wrote a number of the duo's songs and wrote for other Serbian pop acts.

She left Moby Dick in 1998 to go solo. Her first solo appearance was at the Budva festival with "Molila sam anđele", which she wrote with Ivana Pavlović, and her debut album Metar iznad asfalta came out the same year, produced by Mirko Vukomanović and with songs by, among others, Vlado Georgiev. It brought her big hit "Točkovi". The second album, Vidim te kad, followed in 1999 with guest guitarists from Van Gogh, Kristali and Eva Braun.

Tri (2002) was the first album on which she composed every song herself, with some lyrics by Bajaga, and "Pogrešan" was produced by Vlado Georgiev. U ogledalu followed in 2004 and Sudar in 2008, on which "Bioskop" carries lyrics by Arsen Dedić. After Priča za pamćenje in 2015 she released two digital maxi singles in 2019 and the album Kvar na srcu in 2024.

Away from the microphone, Ana Stanić graduated in film and TV production from the Belgrade Faculty of Dramatic Arts, produced Srdan Golubović's film Absolute 100 (2001) and has produced all of her own music videos. She has written music for commercials and for the children's play Ivanine igračke, and she founded the MIMA group to improve the position of Serbian musicians.

Her playlist runs from the early hits to the newest songs, including "Ljubav bez dodira", her 2022 Eurosong entry, and the 2026 single "Ni gram pametnija".
