Tayna

Tayna is the stage name of Doruntina Shala, a Kosovo-Albanian rapper and singer born on 14 December 1996 in Prizren. She sings in Albanian, in the Gheg dialect, and she both raps and sings.

In 2016 she auditioned for the first season of the talent show Talent X without getting through. Two years later she broke through all over the Albanian-speaking world: "Columbiana" went to number one in Albania and "Shqipe" to number two, and "Fake", "Doruntina", "Pow Pow" and "Aje" followed the same year. In August 2018 she performed at the Sunny Hill Festival in Pristina, and in December the Kosovan programme Privé named her its personality of the year.

2019 brought "Ring Ring", "Kce", "Caliente", "Sicko" and "Sorry", and two more number ones, "Pasite" and "Bye Bye". In January 2020 she released "Edhe ti" with Mozzik, which reached number two in Albania and entered the German and Swiss charts, and in July she signed a record deal with Sony Music's German branch.

Her collaborations widened in 2021: "Moona" with L'Algérino, "Ti harro" with Azet, which charted in Germany and Switzerland, and "Hala" with Ledri Vula. On 28 November she released "Heroinat", the first single from her debut album, Bipolar, which followed in 2023. In 2022 "Pare", with Mozzik and Butrint Imeri, reached number eleven in Switzerland, and "Tequila" and "Teket" also made the Swiss chart.

Her biggest song so far is "Si Ai", released in June 2024. It went viral on TikTok, became her most-streamed track with more than 67 million plays on Spotify, reached number two in Greece and number four in Switzerland, and was certified platinum in Greece, her first certification as a solo artist.

In 2025 she released the EP Tayna New Year Edition and was the guest on Regard's "Piece of Me". Her album Genesis is listed for 2026.
