About Azet
Azet, born Granit Musa on 6 March 1993, is a German rapper of Kosovo Albanian origin and a founding member of the Dresden rap crew KMN Gang. He was born in Tirana, Albania, shortly after his parents had left Kosovo; they come from Podujeva, and English Wikipedia places the family in the Orllan area of that municipality. Because of his parents he is counted here among the artists of Kosovo, although with his birthplace in Tirana he may just as well be counted as Albanian.
In 1994 the family settled in Prohlis, a district of Dresden. At primary school he met Nash, who became his friend and long-time partner in music, and in 2010 the two founded KMN Gang with the rapper Insider. Azet first called himself Azphalt, and the rapper Zuna joined the crew soon after. Before music took over, he trained in the restaurant trade.
His first entry in the German singles chart came at the end of December 2016 with "Patte fließt". "Nummer 1", with Zuna and Noizy, was his first German top-ten hit and is regarded as the crew's commercial breakthrough. In 2017 "Gjynah" reached number eight in Germany and Switzerland, and "Qa Bone" with the Austrian rapper RAF Camora became his first single certified gold in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
His debut album, Fast Life, released on 30 March 2018, went straight to number one in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. With Zuna he then had the top-ten singles "Skam koh", "Lelele" and "Hallo Hallo", and their joint album Super Plus, released on 8 March 2019, reached number one in Austria and Germany and number two in Switzerland.
On 18 September 2020 he released Fast Life 2 together with his younger brother Albi, a member of KMN Gang. It was followed by Neue Welt (2021), Ultra Plus (2022) and the EP Tirana EP 1 (2023).
