About Nives Celzijus
Nives Celzijus is a Croatian pop singer, actress and author, born Nives Zeljković on 18 December 1981 in Zagreb. She is on Muzika-Balkan as a Croatian artist born in Croatia's capital; the sources do not say where she lives today.
She started young: her album Cura moderna came out in 1999, and her first well-known single, "Na koljena", followed in 2004. After "Bijesna", "Loša sam" and "Gol" she had her busiest years in 2014 and 2015, with "Karanfili" featuring TS Petica, "Opa, romantika" with Garinho, "Lutrija", "Tebi u inat" with Tarapana Band and "Biondina" with Klapa Sveti Florijan. "Biondina" reached number 13 on the Croatian HR Top 100 and "Karanfili" number 39.
More singles followed, among them "Mamurluk", "Kukulele", "Ramos", "Život pogledaj" and "Jen' dva tri" with Ante M. In 2025 "Je, bo'me je!", recorded with Prima bend, went to number 13 on both the HR Top 100 and Billboard's Croatia Songs chart, and in 2026 she released "Sinkronija" with Dino Petrić.
Away from music she is a familiar face on Croatian television. She won the fourth season of Tvoje lice zvuči poznato and later sat on its jury in the sixth and seventh seasons. She has acted in series such as Zauvijek susjedi, Čista ljubav, Bogu iza nogu, Kumovi and San snova, and her first stage role was as a singer in Vitez slavonske ravni at the Croatian National Theatre in Osijek. She has also written three books, including the autobiography Gola istina in 2008.
