About Nikola Marjanović
Nikola Marjanović, born in Zagreb on 6 December 1977, is a Croatian pop singer and songwriter, known as the singer of the pop rock bands Sane and Radio Luksemburg. He grew up in a musical home: his father, Hrvoje Marjanović, was one of the founders of Plava trava zaborava. He graduated in double bass, and at fifteen, on a trip to India with a friend, he caught the ear of a Canadian producer who offered to record an album with them in Canada.
He co-founded Sane, a pop rock band from Zagreb that released the albums Do Not Cover (2013) and About Time (2014). With Sane he sang "Dečko" in the semi-final of Dora 2009, and in 2010 he returned to Dora with "Muzika i ti", written by Lea Dekleva. In 2012 he became the singer of Radio Luksemburg, whose best-known song with him is "Ako nemam te".
His song "Dio mene" with Songkillers got wide radio play and took him to the second season of the regional X Factor, where his mentor was Massimo Savić. There he met the members of Highway, and when they represented Montenegro at Eurovision 2016 in Stockholm he sang their backing vocals from offstage. In 2017 he recorded "Oprosti mi" with Tomislav Jelić Kameny, formerly of Colonia.
On 24 January 2020 Nikola Marjanović finished third at the 67th Zagreb Festival with "Vrati mi se ti", behind Marko Kutlić and Nina Kraljić, and the song entered the top ten of the HR Top 40. A month later he sang "Let's Forgive" at Dora 2020. His solo singles on Menart include "Gloria", "Naš mali raj", "Tu sam za nas", "Nevidljivo", "Jeseni" and "Iz pepela". He is also a familiar voice in Croatian dubbing, singing Hans in Frozen and Federico in Violetta.
