About Neočekivana sila koja se iznenada pojavljuje i rešava stvar
Neočekivana sila koja se iznenada pojavljuje i rešava stvar, "an unexpected force that suddenly appears and settles the matter", is an alternative and experimental rock band from Belgrade, often called just Sila. It was formed in December 1997 by musicians from the city's alternative bands, and took its name from the definition of "deus ex machina" in Milan Vujaklija's dictionary of foreign words. Their sound mixes rock with electronica, breakbeat and trip hop.
The first line-up was Vladimir Đorđević and Goran Nikolić "Orge" on guitars, Nemanja Aćimović on drums, Zlatko Veljović "Laki" on bass and Oliver Nektarijević on vocals. In May 1998 they played the Ring Ring festival, and a live "Proces" from that night later appeared on a festival compilation. Their self-titled debut album came out in autumn 1999, with "The Spirit of God", built on a sample of Gylan Kain's "Feel This". The same year they covered Robna Kuća's "Devojka iz drugog sveta" for B92's tenth-anniversary compilation and toured Slovenia with the Ljudmila Stratimirović Hat Theatre.
Hard To Dig It!, sung in English and co-produced with Boris Mladenović, followed in February 2000, and in spring they played Zagreb and the Druga Godba festival in Ljubljana. In 2001 "Disaster" was used in the film Munje!, the band wrote music for Bojana Mladenović's play Korak dalje, and Nektarijević left. The third album, Sunca (2002), was produced by Dušan Kojić "Koja" of Disciplina Kičme, with guests Sonja Lončar, Dušan Petrović and Dejan Utvar. Later songs appeared on compilations, "Espadrile smrti" in 2004 and "Ruski gruv" in 2006.
Since 2007 the band has been a trio of Đorđević, Mladenović and Aćimović. In October 2011 they played the Belgrade club Gun with Nektarijević, their first concert with him in ten years. The playlist gathers their albums and songs as shared by fans, including the whole of Sunca.
