About Jala Brat
Jala Brat, born Jasmin Fazlić on 16 October 1986 in Sarajevo, is a Bosnian rapper, songwriter and producer. Together with Buba Corelli he has been one of the most streamed names of the Balkan rap and trap scene since the mid-2010s.
He went to school in Sarajevo and began recording in the early 2000s in an improvised home studio. In 2011 he formed the group BluntBylon with underground rappers such as Smayla and released his first project, Replay, which also held his first track with Buba Corelli. His solo album Riječ na riječ followed in 2012, together with the EPs SA Sin City with Corelli and Mahala with Shtela. The two rappers took over the YouTube channel Imperia and turned it into their own label, and in early 2015 he officially adopted the name Jala Brat.
Singles such as "Casino", "Dom", "Skandal" and "Anđeo" made him known across the region. In 2016 he represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm with "Ljubav je", which he co-wrote and sang with Dalal Midhat-Talakić, Deen and cellist Ana Rucner; the song did not reach the final.
With Buba Corelli he released Pakt s đavolom (2014), Stari radio and Kruna (2016) and Alfa i Omega, and later GoodFellas (2023), Goat Season: Final Chapter (2024), Roze suze (2025) and Godzilla (2026). His own albums include 99 (2019) and Futura (2021). "Kamikaza" with Senidah (2019) went gold in Austria, "Criminal" with RAF Camora (2022) topped the charts in Austria and Croatia, and "Coco", "Warsaw", "LaMelo" and "S.O.S." were also number ones in Croatia. He has also recorded with Severina and Maya Berović.
In January 2020 he and Buba Corelli received a MAC award in Belgrade as the most influential musicians in the region. Imperia has since grown into a media company with its own TV channel and clothing line.
