About Buba Corelli
Buba Corelli, born Amar Hodžić on 22 September 1989 in Sarajevo, is a Bosnian rapper, songwriter and producer. With Jala Brat he founded the label Imperia, and the two have recorded most of their albums together.
He got into music as a teenager, and in 2004 he released his first song with a childhood friend as the duo Corelli. After meeting Jala Brat he began working with him: their EP Sin City came out in March 2013 and the album Pakt s Đavolom in December 2014, the same year as his solo album Zulum. In those years he also turns up on songs by fellow Sarajevo rapper Kontra, such as "Nevina" and "Digni bass".
The breakthrough came with "Habibi", a December 2015 song by the Serbian singer Rasta featuring Corelli, which passed 40 million views on YouTube. In 2018 he released "Mafia" with Jala Brat, the solo single "Balenciaga", "Ona'e" with Coby and, in December, "Benga po snijegu" with Rasta. On 23 June 2018 he played the Tašmajdan stadium in Belgrade in front of about 15,000 people, and that summer he was a guest on Maya Berović's album 7. More songs with Rasta followed, among them "Mila", "Bebi" and "Kamikaza" with Senidah.
With Jala Brat he has released Stari Radio and Kruna (both 2016), Alfa & Omega (2019), GoodFellas (2023), the three Goat Season albums (2024), Roze suze (2025) and Godzilla (2026). He also produces for other singers, among them Maya Berović, Milan Stanković and Severina. At the 2019 Music Awards Ceremony "Ego" by Milan Stanković with Jala Brat and Buba Corelli was nominated for collaboration of the year, "Pravo vreme" with Maya Berović was nominated too, and "Balenciaga" for modern dance song of the year.
