About Elitni Odredi
Elitni Odredi were a pop and hip-hop duo from Belgrade: Relja Popović, known as Drima, and Vladimir "Vlada" Matović, known as Wonta, both born in Belgrade in 1989. They started as seventh-grade classmates under the name Ulični Pesnici Crew and became Elitni Odredi in 2005. The early years were underground hip-hop; later their sound turned to commercial club pop.
Their first single, "Moja jedina", came out in 2006. Elitni Odredi were among the first acts in the region to build an audience on Myspace and YouTube while mostly staying away from the mainstream media. Their only studio album, Oko sveta, came out on Gold in 2010, with guests such as Sha on "Drugu neću" and Cvija on "Što te volim".
The breakthrough came in 2011 with "Kao kokain", featuring Ivana Krunić, and "Beograd", DJ Shone's song with Elitni Odredi and Anabela. On IDJ they followed with "Ne koči" (2012), "Nisi s njom" with Mia Borisavljević, "Ljubavi moja" with Dado Polumenta, "Zapali grad" (2013) and "Ima mnogo žena i kafana" (2013). In 2014 they toured Australia and played clubs across the Serbian diaspora, and released "Ona sija" with DJ Mateo.
Their last single was "Alkohola litar" (2014), credited to DJ Mlađa featuring Elitni Odredi and Nikolija, one of their most-watched videos. In January 2015 the duo announced a break to focus on solo work, saying they had outgrown the group, and Relja Popović went on to a solo career, acting and work as a talent-show judge. Their music videos are gathered here.
