About Ćira

Ćira, full name Dejan Ćirković, is a Serbian folk singer and musician who first became known in the 1990s as a member of the group Ritam srca. Discogs lists him there on guitar and vocals, beside Joca Đević on keyboards and vocals, Saša Jakšić Žika on bass and Ljubomir Andrejić on drums.

With Ritam srca he recorded four albums: Marija (1995, Diskos), Od Boga stvorena (1996, ZAM), Ja hoću sad (1998, ZAM) and Žurka (2000, Renome). Marija included songs by Muharem Serbezovski and Žika Luna, among others.

He then went solo and released six albums for Grand Produkcija. The first, Gori nebo gori kamen (2001), had its title song by Perica Zdravković and Milanko, several songs by Žika Luna, and "Volim piti i ljubiti" by Siniša Vuco. Cela kafana je ustala na noge (2002) followed, with songs such as "Pijem kao Rusi", "Klinka" and "U crno me zavila", then Bitanga i princeza (2003). On Tražim način da prebolim (2005) several songs were arranged by Euro Band, and Ćira wrote the music for "Zaboravi" himself, to lyrics by Marina Tucaković.

His fifth album, Fenomenalno (2008), gave him the song he is best known for, the title track, and Pare nisu problem para nema followed in 2010. Grand Production released a best-of collection in 2016. He is also known for "Rado bi te mi", recorded with Rada Manojlović, Darko Filipović and Stevan Anđelković. Ćira lives in Stuttgart with his wife Ljilja, and they have a daughter and a son.
