About Euro Band
Euro Band was founded in 1992 in Stuttgart, Germany, by the brothers Elvir and Edin Uzunović, who have remained the constant members of the group: Elvir on vocals and keyboards and Edin "Čibo" Uzunović on drums and percussion. The band started out as a backing band for singers from the former Yugoslavia, performing with them across Europe, and above all in the Balkans.
Under its own name Euro Band released the album Sanjam in 2002 on In Takt Records, with songs such as "Sanjam", "Život mi oduzmi", "Jednom ćeš me ipak sresti" and "Samo ti". The second album, Kurs, followed in 2004 on VIP Production, with "Dugo me nisi ljubila", "Kako je biti zaljubljen", "Kusur od ljubavi" and the title song "Kurs", and with "Sanjam, sanjam" and "Život mi oduzmi" as bonus tracks. Elvir Uzunović wrote the music and lyrics, produced and arranged the album and recorded and mixed it, partly at the studio Kutija šibica in Stuttgart. The guests included Al' Dino on acoustic guitar and Ferus Mustafov on clarinet and saxophone, with Edin on drums, percussion and backing vocals.
The brothers have also written and arranged for other singers on Grand Production. In 2005 Elvir Uzunović wrote songs that Euro Band arranged for Slavica Ćukteraš's album Nema pravila, among them "Život mi oduzmi", "Ne gledaj me", "Mona Liza" and "Prevari me", for Branislav Mojićević's Stara ljubav, for Dejan Ćirković Ćira's album Ćira ("Znam", "Kao nekada", "Nikad ne reci nikad") and for Tanja Savić, whose album Tako mlada carries his "Igračka". In 2014, at the fifth Grand Festival, Elvir sang his own song "Totalno" with Katarina Živković, arranged by Euro Band.
