About Bojana Vunturišević
Bojana Vunturišević is a Serbian singer and songwriter, born on 6 March 1985 in Požarevac and raised in nearby Kostolac. She calls her own style "capitalist blues", a pop sound that draws on indie pop, trip hop and dancehall.
She started out in 2003 in the underground bands The Root Out and MistakeMistake, and then became the singer of Svi na pod!, a Belgrade band founded in 2007. With them she recorded the albums Prvi (2011) and Mladost (2014). In 2015 she graduated in music pedagogy from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, and a year earlier she had founded the children's choir DFhor.
She left Svi na pod! in 2015 to go solo. Her debut album, Daljine, came out on 21 April 2017 on Mascom Records, introduced by the single "Kese, etikete", and songs such as "Noćni program", "Vetar u kosi" and "Suzana" followed as videos. On 19 May 2018 she played a concert at the Belgrade Youth Centre, which is in the playlist as a live clip.
Her second album, Ljubav, was released on 11 February 2023 on Bassivity Digital, after the singles "Money", "Madrina" and the title track. In April 2023 she sold out two nights in a row at the Belgrade Youth Centre. That year Muzika.hr named her among the women shaping the regional music scene, and in 2019 she was nominated for breakthrough act at the Music Awards Ceremony.
Bojana Vunturišević also writes for other singers, with hits for Nataša Bekvalac, Sara Jo, Senidah, Franka Batelić and Seka Aleksić. She also sings on "Close Friends" by the rapper Surreal.
