About Bojana Stamenov
Bojana Stamenov is a Serbian singer of soul, jazz, R&B and blues, born on 24 June 1986 in Belgrade. She has been singing since the age of seven and finished three departments of secondary music school: guitar, lute and Renaissance singing.
She became known to a wider audience on the third season of Ja imam talenat!, the Serbian Got Talent, broadcast on RTS from November 2011 to March 2012, where she sang songs of Chaka Khan, James Brown and Aretha Franklin and finished fourth in the final. Before and after that she sang at Belgrade's Beer Fest and Foam Fest, at Cantat in Novi Sad and at the Runjićeve večeri in Split in 2013, and since 2011 she has appeared in children's plays at Belgrade's Boško Buha theatre. Her early singles included "Ludi i mladi" with Aleksa Jelić (2011) and dance tracks with DJ Play and Pookie.
On 15 February 2015 she won Serbia's national selection with "Ceo svet je moj", written by Vladimir Graić with lyrics by Leontina Vukomanović. In English, as "Beauty Never Lies", the song took her to the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, where she finished tenth with 53 points. The song was called an unofficial gay anthem, and that summer she sang it at Amsterdam Pride. On 13 June 2015 she held her first solo concert in Sava Centar.
Bojana Stamenov later took part in the reality show Farma and sang at the children's Beogradsko proleće festival almost every year from 2016. In 2022 she won the award for best interpretation at Beogradsko proleće with "Kada kažeš ljubav", a duet with Marko Tolja, and in 2024 she returned as a guest.
