About Adnan Babajić
Adnan Babajić is a Bosnian singer and television personality, born on 28 May 1988 in Živinice, where he also grew up. He plays the piano, drums and accordion, and has named Bryan Adams and Željko Joksimović as his idols. Before his breakthrough he had already sung in many music shows on television.
He became known across the region as the winner of Operacija trijumf, the 2008–09 talent show broadcast by B92 for singers from the whole former Yugoslavia. Babajić was one of only two contestants from Bosnia and Herzegovina and one of the favourites from the start. Over the galas he sang songs by Plavi orkestar, Laka, Dino Merlin, Toše Proeski, Bojan Marović and Vlado Georgiev, and shared the stage with Željko Samardžić and Petar Grašo. In the final, with "Kopriva" by Al Dino among his songs, he beat Vukašin Brajić and won a recording contract with Universal Music Group. The win was debated, because he was criticised for singing folk songs in a pop contest.
After the show he sang with the other contestants in concerts, three of them at the Sava Centar in Belgrade, and started work on his album. His first single, "Srce plače" (2009), was a duet with the Serbian singer Kaja Ostojić, and "Ne prođe ni jedan dan" followed in 2010.
Since 2022 he has released a steady run of new songs with official videos on his own channel: "Ne mogu", "Bolje za nas" and "Bar da te ne volim" in 2022, "Sve dok dišem" in 2023, "Budala" in 2024, "Lome me sjećanja" in 2025 and "Ciganska svadba" in 2026. He also sings for the diaspora; at the turn of 2026 he greeted the new year in Chicago with Davor Badrov and Samanta Malkoč.
