About Zera
Zera, born Marina Pezerović, is a Serbian-Austrian singer, rapper and songwriter. She was born on 16 December 2002 in Vorarlberg, Austria, to Serb parents from Novi Sad, and that family background is why she is on Muzika-Balkan under Serbia. She grew up in Austria and sings in Serbian for a label in Belgrade, the city where her career has taken off.
Music came early. She played the piano and the guitar as a child, finished the music school in Dornbirn and often opened for other acts at festivals. She also recorded covers and posted them on Instagram, and that is how Marko Panić Maleni, who runs the Belgrade digital label Generacija Zed, noticed her. Once she turned eighteen she began working with the label.
Her first record was the self-written single "Do zore", released by Generacija Zed in February 2021. Wider fame came with "Baraba" in August 2022, and "Kalaši" followed in November and went to number one on Billboard's Croatia Songs chart. She sang at the 2023 New Year's Eve concert in front of the House of the National Assembly in Belgrade.
Her songs mix rap and pop. The playlist gathers her recordings, from "Do zore", "Baraba", "Kalaši" and "Sestre" to a live set from 2022 and newer songs such as "Tut tut" and "Ozempic".
