Viki Miljković

Viki Miljković, born Violeta Miljković on 18 December 1974, is a Serbian folk singer from Niš. As a teenager she sang alongside her brother, who played the accordion, and she went to the Dr Vojislav Vučković music high school in Niš and then graduated in music from the University of Priština. Her parents, Zorka and Svetomir, did not want her to become a singer.

She was discovered by the songwriting duo Marina Tucaković and Aleksandar Radulović and released her debut album, Loša sreća, on Diskos in 1992, singing its title song at MESAM that year. The breakthrough came with the next album, Hajde, vodi me odavde, and its hits "Hajde, vodi me odavde" and "Nikom nije lepše nego nama". Svadbe neće biti (1995) and Tunel (1996) followed, and in 1997 Kud puklo da puklo brought "Ženske bubice", which the Serbian Wikipedia calls the biggest hit of her career. Okrećem ti leđa, tugo (1998) and Godine (2001) kept her popular.

In 2001 she moved to Grand Production, one of its first stars. Mariš li (2003) gave her five big hits, among them "Mariš li", "Bajadera" and "Crno na belo", and a duet with the Turkish star Mehmed Badan, "Zašto". With Mahi, mahi (2005), whose songs included "Mahi, mahi", "Prazan stan" and "Ti muškarac", she reached the very top, and she gave her first big solo concert in Belgrade, at Sava Centar according to the English Wikipedia.

In June 2007 she married the accordionist Dragan Tašković, and their son was born that October. Ovde se ne plače (2009) followed, then a 2011 duet with Halid Bešlić, "Ne zna juče da je sad", and a greatest-hits collection. "Rumba" (2012) brought her back to the charts, and in 2014 she won the first Pink festival with "Flaster na usta". She has also sung duets with Dado Polumenta and Suzana Jovanović.

For about a decade, from the mid-2010s to 2025, Viki Miljković was a judge and mentor on the talent show Zvezde Granda, where her contestant Nermin Handžić won in 2022, and in 2025 she joined the jury of Pinkove Zvezde. She is close friends with Ceca and Sanja Đorđević, who were bridesmaids at her wedding.
