About Sanja Djordjević
Sanja Đorđević is a turbo-folk and pop-folk singer, born in Pljevlja, Montenegro, and raised in Sarajevo. She lives in Belgrade and is a citizen of Serbia.
According to Serbian Wikipedia she studied singing, enrolled in law school and had her own band before her first album, Ko je ta, came out on Diskoton in 1987. Hej, hej followed on BOMI in 1993, and Zorane (1995), Ima dana (1997) and Janje umiljato (1998) on ZaM; on the single "Magla" of 1997 she sang with Zoran Janković.
From 1999 her albums came out on Grand: Divlja ruža (1999), with the hit "Mutivoda", then Pjevaj (2001) and Da je meni drugi život (2002). Her breakthrough came in 2003 with the album Sanja, and the next year brought Ti zaplakaćeš na mojoj strani kreveta. "Crveni lak" became a hit in 2005, the year she also recorded "Taoci sudbine" with Milanka, and in 2008 she released Svetlo crveno, whose title song was another hit. Both Wikipedias note that a later break from music cost her some of her popularity.
Sanja Đorđević is married to Petar Perica Đorđević, a former footballer of FK Željezničar Sarajevo, and they have a daughter, Ivana.
