About Slavko Banjac

Slavko Banjac, born Slavoljub Nedeljković on 17 October 1957 in Trstenik, is a Serbian singer of folk and pop music. His stage name comes from the nearby spa town of Vrnjačka Banja.

He finished primary school and primary music school in Trstenik, and in 1976 completed the theory department of the music gymnasium "Dr Vojislav Vučković" in Niš, with piano as his first instrument and French horn as his second.

He recorded his first album, Jedini greh, in 1987 with the ensemble of Miša Mijatović. His greatest success came in the first half of the 1990s, when he recorded six studio albums in all. Then he left the stage and started his own business.

After a break of twenty-three years, Slavko Banjac released his seventh album, Ljubav kao odgovor, in the middle of 2018 on PGP RTS, with songs such as "Natenane", "Moj Beograd", "Džabe joj" and "Život je bez veze", and the same year he received the Estrada and Music Award of Serbia. He presented the album at a concert in Sava Centar on 16 May 2019, and later released "Tebe niko ne voli ko ja" (2020), a new version of "Daleko negde, ko zna gde", "Moj živote" and "Prašina" (2022). On 22 February 2025 he played a concert at Belgrade's MTS Dvorana.
