About Pamela Ramljak

Pamela Ramljak is a singer from Bosnia and Herzegovina, born on 24 December 1979 in Čapljina. She is best known as a founding member of the girl group Feminnem, with which she sang at the Eurovision Song Contest twice, and has also made her own way as a solo singer and songwriter.

She first competed at a children's festival at the age of six, and by fourteen she had won many contests, among them Glas Neretve in Metković and Djeca pjevaju hitove in Sarajevo, where at twelve she recorded two songs for Jugoton as one of eight children who then toured Yugoslavia. She went to music school in Metković and the arts gymnasium Luka Sorkočević in Dubrovnik, where she sang classical pieces as a lyric soprano with the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, and from 1998 to 2005 studied at the Music Academy in Zagreb to become a music teacher.

During her studies she sang lead and backing vocals with many bands and recorded studio backing vocals for well-known singers, most of all Toni Cetinski, with whom she worked for four years and for whose album A sada she wrote "Ostani zauvijek", and Amila Glamočak in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In 2004 she was a finalist of Hrvatski Idol, and with two other finalists, Neda Parmać and Ivana Marić, she formed Feminnem. In 2005 they won the Bosnian selection with "Zovi", sung in Kyiv as "Call Me" and placed fourteenth in the final. After two more tries at the Croatian Dora, with "Navika" in 2007 and "Poljupci u boji" in 2009, they won it in 2010 with "Lako je sve" and went to Oslo for Croatia; the album Lako je sve was nominated for a Porin.

When the group split in February 2012, she started a solo career with "Ti me ne voliš", a ballad for which she wrote both words and music, and the house song "Mamin sin", which did well on the charts in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. "Kad tad", "Zajedno smo najbolji" and "Kad je dosta, dosta je" led to her album Prijateljica in 2014, followed by "Pečat", "Ispod kože", "Vikend" and, in 2016, the duet "Ne govori mi to" with Dženan Lončarević. She also taught music in Zagreb schools and was cast in the lead role of the musical Les Misérables at the Varaždin Arena.

In May 2022 Feminnem came back together with the single "Zajedno", and in March 2023 the group won the 70th Zagreb Festival with "Trending", sung with Saša Antić.
