About Nina Pušlar

Nina Pušlar is a Slovenian pop singer and songwriter, born on 25 October 1988 in Ivančna Gorica. She first sang in the girls' pop group Daylight and with the band Silencia, and the wider Slovenian public came to know her when she won the second season of the talent show Bitka talentov in 2005.

A week after that win, on 18 December 2005, she presented her first music video, "Ni ona", on the TV show Spet doma. Her debut album, Nina Pušlar, followed in 2006, with a second video for "Vse, kar rečeš mi". At EMA 2010 she sang "Dež" and finished second in the final, and she returned to EMA in 2011 with "Bilo lepo bi", which did not reach the final.

Her second album, Slečeno srce (2010), gave her the most-played Slovenian song of that year on the radio, its title track, according to the IPF collecting society. Med vrsticami (2011) and Nekje vmes (2013) came next, and at Slovenska popevka 2012 she took second place with "Kdo še verjame", sung with the Stiški kvartet. From September 2014 she also played Meta Presečnikova in the musical Cvetje v jeseni at Špas teater.

She celebrated ten years on stage in 2015 with a concert at Križanke in Ljubljana, the album #malodrugace, which gathered her biggest hits, and a special video for "Sladoled z vesoljem, prosim" featuring musicians and songwriters who had shaped her career. That year's work brought her the Zlata piščal award for female performer of the year. In 2016 "To mi je všeč" repeated the feat of being the most-played Slovenian song of the year.

The albums Nina (2019) and Nina, Nina, Nina (2022) followed. The title song of the latter was the most-played Slovenian song of 2022, and she was the most-played Slovenian female performer that year. On 16 December 2023 she gave a solo concert in a sold-out Arena Stožice, the first Slovenian female singer to sell out the venue. In June 2025 she marked twenty years of her career with a concert in her home town, Ivančna Gorica.
