Mia Negovetić

Mia Negovetić is a Croatian singer-songwriter and voice actress, born on 5 October 2002 in Rijeka, where she grew up. She first became known as a child, as the winner of the first season of RTL's talent show Zvjezdice in 2015.

She auditioned for Zvjezdice with Beyoncé's "Listen", in front of judges Enis Bešlagić, Luka Nižetić, Zdravko Šljivac, Vanna and Alka Vuica, and won the final on 31 October 2015 with the most televotes. Her video of "Listen" also travelled far beyond Croatia, and in early 2016 she sang it on NBC's Little Big Shots. Večernji list's Večernjakova ruža named her the new face of 2015. Among her best-known covers are "Kao rijeka", sung with Vanna, and "Caruso" with Tony Cetinski.

From 2016 she released singles such as "Trouble" and "Vrijeme je" and headlined several concerts at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall in Zagreb. In early 2020 she sang "Na pola puta do svemira" at the Zagreb Festival, a song she wrote herself, with music and arrangement by the Rijeka producer Olja Dešić, and in January 2020 she signed with Croatia Records.

Her Eurovision tries made her a familiar name. At Dora 2020 she sang "When It Comes to You", written by Swedish authors, and finished level on 31 points with Damir Kedžo, who took the win on the tie-break. Later that year her single "Pusti" was a success. At Dora 2021 she came third with "She's Like a Dream", co-written with Linnea Deb, Denniz Jamm and Denise Kertes, and she was nominated for the Porin for best new artist, which went to Albina. She came back to Dora in 2022 with "Forgive Me (Oprosti)".

She is also the Croatian voice of Moana and of Mirabel Madrigal in Encanto, and in 2024 she took part in the eighth season of Tvoje lice zvuči poznato. The playlist here is her album Misli, with "Začarani krug", "Hladne ruke", "Crne noći", "Prazan grad", "Kiša" and "Plešem sama".
