About Albina

Albina Grčić, known simply as Albina, is a Croatian pop singer, born on 6 February 1999 in Split. Her father comes from Dicmo and her mother from Tijarica. Television talent shows made her name, and in 2021 she represented Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam with "Tick-Tock".

Her first try was the second season of X Factor Adria in Belgrade, where she auditioned with "Ako izgubim te ja" by Oliver Dragojević. She went through, but when the producers wanted to put her in a girl group she said no and left the show. From December 2019 she competed in the third season of The Voice Hrvatska. At the blind audition she sang Laura Pausini's "En cambio no", and of the two judges who turned she chose Vanna as her coach. She lost the battle round, a duet of "Lovely" with Filip Rudan, but Massimo Savić saved her for his team. In the live shows she sang Gibonni's "Nisi više moja bol" and Coldplay's "Fix You", and in the final she sang "Suze nam stale na put" together with Massimo. She finished third.

Straight after the show she signed with Universal Music Croatia, and her debut single "Imuna na strah" came out on 16 October 2020. Two months later she was named among the 14 finalists of Dora 2021 with "Tick-Tock", written by Branimir Mihaljević, Max Cinnamon and Tihana Buklijaš Bakić, and she won both the jury vote and the televote with 198 points. In Rotterdam she sang in the first semi-final on 18 May 2021 and finished eleventh, just short of the final, but the song became a hit in Croatia.

In June 2021 she won the Porin for best new artist, a category in which Mia Negovetić was also nominated. Her third single, "La La Love", followed on 30 July 2021, by the same writers as "Tick-Tock" and with a Spanish part she wrote herself, and "Plači mila" came out in November. At Dora 2022 she premiered "Noću", and in 2023 she released "27." and "Žar", a collaboration with the singer Đana. Her channel also carries the videos for "Grad sve zna" and "Strah".

In 2025 Albina announced that she was leaving the pop music industry to focus on her faith, and that she would carry on making music as a Christian musician. The playlist here gathers her official music videos, from "Imuna na strah" to "Strah".
