About Mejaši

Mejaši are a tamburica band from Varaždin who call themselves "tamburaši u starkama", tamburica players in sneakers. Their frontman is singer Edo Drakulić, the band is led by Nikola Bosilj, who writes many of their songs, and Denis Dumančić, a member almost from their first recordings, writes and sings with them too.

Their songs mix tamburica with modern pop and party music, and their videos chart the way: "Uživajmo dok smo mladi" (2012), "Bolji nego ikad" (2013), "Zapjevajmo onu našu" with Andrea Šušnjara (2014), "Pijanka", "Idem ja" and "Kako da te zaboravim" (2015), and "Sexy ritam" with Đakovčanke and "Bubamara" (2016). They brought "Kažu da te ženim" (2017), "Blago nama" (2019) and "Češka" (2022) to the CMC festival.

Mejaši like to share the microphone. They sang "Noćima, danima" with Crvena jabuka in 2016, "Duplo slađe" with Lana Jurčević and "Otključaj mi vrata" with Miroslav Škoro in 2017, "Suzana" with Vigor, "Vinograd" with Mladen Grdović and "Živo mi se fućka" with Vlado Kalember and Zlatko Pejaković.

In 2020 they released the album Nova godina, whose title song was filmed with the instruments swapped for shovels, concrete mixers, hammers and tractors; Denis Dumančić sang lead beside Drakulić for the first time. From the same album came "Sanjam te", their second duet with Crvena jabuka's Dražen Žerić Žera, which Bosilj called the most romantic song of their career. In 2026 Croatia Records released their single "Kad se vratim izdaleka".
