About Maja Marijana

Maja Marijana, born Marijana Radovanović on 8 November 1972 in Belgrade, is a Serbian pop-folk singer and TV presenter. She grew up in Belgrade but spent school holidays at her late father's family home in a village near Blace and with her grandmother in Srbobran, earning pocket money at harvest time by picking plums and blackberries in Toplica and removing corn tassels in Srbobran.

Her career began in 1992. That year she sang "Kad nekog volim" at Šumadijski sabor and "Ja nisam devojka lutalica" at Hit parada, and her first album, "Ja nisam devojka lutalica", came out. In 1993 she sang "Bio mi je dobar drug" at Poselo godine 202 and released the album of the same name, and in 1994 she sang "Glas zaljubljene žene" at the Filigrani festival in Tetovo. "Posle nas" (1995), "Vrati se rođeni" (1996) and "Pukni srce" (1997) followed, each with a music video for its title song.

After "Vučica" (1999), "I ne pamtiš" (2001) and "Vezanih očiju" (2003), the album "Napraviću lom" (2005) gave her one of her best-known songs. In 2006 she sang "Crni panter" at the Grand Festival, and "Žena zmija" (2008) brought its title song and "Rođena za flert". Her most popular song is "Haos", released in 2010 with Denis Bjelošević, and the singles "Kazanova" (2010), "Za tugu su narodnjaci zakon" (2011), "Manijak" (2012) and "Na Balkanu" (2013) followed.

Maja Marijana has also worked as a presenter on the channel DM SAT, and she has kept releasing songs and videos, among them "Vikend devojka" (2017), "Nije šala" (2021), "Šmekeru" (2022) and "Spid" (2024). She has two daughters, Anđela and Milica.
